This week I am headed up to the high mountains for my yearly disconnect with all things technology. It’s a forty-five minute drive to anywhere with a signal. Now, I like to be connected, I like to be in touch. But sometimes it is nice to just take yourself out of the loop and enjoy having face to face conversations, and sit and look at mountains and water and trees, and forget about the race that 21st-century life has become. Being away from technology for a few days also gives me an appreciation for the wonderful things technology does for us. Let’s face it, as nice as camping is, no one wants to live like that long-term anymore. So for me it’s all about appreciating the best of both sides. I went in search of the most electro-tecno sim I could find today and found it in INSLICO, an urban-futuristic city build.
Sands Leavitt released the sleek and beautiful Portia skirt at Shiny Shabby this week and it was the perfect fit for my outfit. I am so impressed with the quality of Sands’ work and look forward to seeing what he does next.
