Follow Me

One of Luna Jubilee’s new poses this week reminded me of a John Denver song that I have always loved.

Follow me, where I go
What I do and who I know
Make it part of you to be a part of me
Follow me, up and down
All the way and all around
Take my hand and say you’ll follow me

-Follow Me, John Denver

It’s one of the sweetest love songs I can think of. When Stewart came to help me with this photo he asked me if we were running off to Gretna Green, and given my musical musings that seemed a pretty appropriate place to run off to.

I also wanted Stewart to wear one of the great kilts by Gocha Merlin at the Men’s Dept. this month. And finally, thanks to my dear Rudhmellowen Laguna and Hellbone Barbosa for providing our getaway vehicle…Stewart and I were able to run off in style!

Stewart is wearing:

Hair: ::Exile:: AJ:Sable by Kavar Cleanslate
Skin: -Belleza- Dylan Tan by Tricky Boucher
Jacket/Shirt: Opium Mesh Jacket Browns by Leonid Constantine
Kilt: !gO! Maccloy kilt with sporran by Gocha Merlin (@ Men’s Dept.)
Boots: :ENNA:MESH Men Boots Sand nnby Enna Flatley
Necklace: – .HoD. – Mercenary Men’s Necklace by Aydan Darcy

Eliza is wearing:

Hair: ::Exile:: Crazy in Love:Sable by Kavar Cleanslate
Skin: [Pink Fuel] Alyx – Sultry by Mochi Milena (group gift)
Sweater: PARADISIS Skinny sweater : noir by Ankhari Tammas
Jacket: Opium Mesh Female Biker Jacket XS Cobra by Leonid Constantine
Shorts: Kennedy’s Opium Mesh Female Biker Jacket Cobra by Kennedy Gearz
Rings: Fall from Grace Dark Rose ring *Black Diamonds*, Double Blade Steampunk Ring- Steel/Onyx by Vortex Hellman
Boots: J’s [Ladies] Studded Long boots (Black) by JB Gasov

Motorcycle: Hogs & Cart Wheels Extremo by Hellbone Barbosa
Pose Photo 2: !bang by Trieste Minuet

And here’s the whole song if you are in the mood for sweetness and sentimentality.

Awww honey, that’s so romantic… You’re more than welcome with the Bike, it looks great and goes perfectly with your outfit hehe! You both look awesome, but question… Is Stewart doing it the real Scottish way? A Scotsman wears nothing under his kilt hehe!

Congrats to Alexandra Forestier, who wins the Sn@tch gift card this week. It’s been awhile since I did a giveaway from Artistry by E and there is a design out now that makes my autumn-crazy heart all aflutter. I’ll give one away next week.

Fall is in the air and the warm, bold tones of Hot Cinnamon make a person feel cozy. Endra’s warm, bold necklace is looking pretty cozy too!

Darkness Again and a Silence

Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing,
Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness;
So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another,
Only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Tales of a Wayside Inn Pt. III, The Theologian’s Tale: Elizabeth, sec. IV

I’ve always liked the dark, dreamy feel of Longfellow’s verses and the wistfulness they evoke. Newport Bay has some of that feeling, so I decided to take my pictures there today. My dress, a new mesh creation from Apple May, is soft and comfortable. I am looking forward to see what else she comes up with.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Orange

Here we are at the final week of the challenge. It’s impossible for me to condense how much this challenge has meant to me into a few words. Let’s just say I am in turns relieved and heart-broken. At the beginning of this challenge I didn’t even know how to take a snapshot, let alone do any kind of photo-editing. I have learned so much from all of you and offer my heart-felt gratitude for all of your encouraging comments and your friendship.

Thanks to all you wonderful challenge bloggers, and most of all to Luna, who is a very special lady indeed.

If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever.

If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.

Let’s come back to each other soon!

Part two is just around the corner..YAY! =)

The Autumn I Wanted

Fall is my favorite season. I love the cooler temperatures, the ability to wear jackets and sweaters and scarves. I love how the natural world bursts into color for one last hurrah before the killing temperatures of winter send it into hibernation. This year it sort of passed us by. We have had unseasonably warm temperatures. Hurricane Irene layered all our trees with salt so they just turned brown instead of changing color. And then it got cold and rainy. Where is my autumn!?

Since I couldn’t find it in real life, I found it at the magnificent Aquitaine sims, that have been decked out for fall. I am snug and warm in my tights, scarf and handwarmers, and can still enjoy the sunshine. And my gorgeous boots from Opium are just made for leaf-crunching! Today my skin is a relatively new one from Mallory Cowen that is very flattering with my tousled hairstyle from Kik.

May your autumn be just what you wanted—I will keep my fingers crossed for mine!
