Avenue de Ternes

I lived in Paris for almost a year when I was in college. It was quite a change for a western girl like me to be in a city like that. It took awhile for Paris to work its magic on me, but work it did, and it is a city that I love dearly and that has had a great impact on my life.

Barnesworth Anubis’ new skybox reminds me a little of my apartment on Avenue de Ternes, although my little place was not nearly so lovely as this. I did have a wonderful view out my window, however, and it was just as lovely in the rain as not. I wish I had been so glamorous back then, but Maylee Oh and Jackal Ennui are keeping me glamorous now!

Three SL Wishes

Joining in the fun….

 

1. I wish sex weren’t the main draw of SL. Whenever I tell anyone I play in SL their initial reaction is shock—and then they start to wonder just how perverted I am. When I go to marketplace there are boobs or sex poses or some other sexualized item in the featured boxes. Every single time. I know that is why a lot of people come here, and I get it. It’s not why I play. There is so much more to SL. Maybe my perception is wrong, but sex is certainly the primary thing advertised in SL.

2. Put. Away. The. Pitchforks. I hear so many people say “I hate drama” but see very few actually stepping away from it. It is very nearly impossible in SL to truly know all sides of a situation, so save the energy and emotion for things that are worth it. There would be no drama if people didn’t feed into it.

3. I wish land weren’t so expensive. It would be great to see the explosion in creativity if substantial land was accessible to more people.

    You’re wishes are great honey, I love the honesty in them. I have two similar wishes but I didn’t actually think about the land one until reading your wishes… I want cheaper land too!!!! That would be awesome!
