One of my favorite colleagues ever had a saying she used with students when they got a little out of control in her class. I have used it often, myself, and actually taken her advice on many occasions:

“Sometimes, it’s just time to retreat to the privacy of your own mind.”

In our media-saturated world it can be hard to do that, but it is important that we be able to be alone with ourselves sometimes.

On the other hand, too much inward focus may be a bad idea when wearing these super-sexy heels from L’enfant Terrible.

My beautiful friend Gillian recently did the ALS Bucket Challenge and you can see her super-cute post here. She challenged me to do the same…so I hereby accept the challenge! I went a little overboard with the Photoshop so I could use my favorite pose in the Momentum series and yet still fulfill the actual ice part of the challenge.  You can read all about the ALS here.

So….now the time has come for me to nominate friends for this challenge…and I challenge my wonderful blogger friend Rudhmellowen Laguna and fellow shopper-sometimes-stalker Skylar Coeur. Get that ice-maker going, ladies!
