In the Red

There is so much great stuff coming out in SL right now that it is hard to keep up and blog everything I want to. Add to that the fact that I am still pretty new at this, and have a hard time making things look the way I want them too without a LOT of time and work. Yeah, not so much a great talent, here. But anyway, as I was looking through some group offerings I found this dress from Paris Metro. I always love the concept art on these gowns and this one is no exception—the gown is called Salsa, but it really makes me feel like a flamenco dancer. Smile

A bold dress needs bold accessories and I found them in this beautiful set from Dark Mouse. One thing I always appreciate about Mouse’s work is that there is always so much to look at—there’s nothing simple about this set.

After the Party

Today I was going through my inventory (a gargantuan task in itself) and found this dress from Kunglers that I don’t remember buying, but that I totally love! Does that happen to anyone else? I guess since I have like 50 folders from Kunglers it shouldn’t surprise me. It was a perfect dress to wear with the new Selena skin from G&N.

Wearing the high heels definitely makes you feel more feminine and more festive, but most every girl will admit that it’s great to get rid of them at the end of the party! Fortunately Cerberus Noel’s Flower pumps from G.Field look great whether they are on your feet or laying on the grass.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Pink

Spring flowers, lipstick, nail polish, unicorns…is there anything that is more stereotypically female than pink? Only the southern European male doesn’t seem to share the disdain for pink with his counterparts the world over. And having been married to one for over ten years, somehow I think those guys have got it right. Now if I could only have convinced my guy to pose for me this week! Alas, final exams took precedence, so today I went digging for whatever I could find in my inventory that was pink, which turned out to be not much.

Strangely enough, next week’s color, carrot, is much more prevalent in my inventory. So here’s looking forward to then!

Oh, I don’t know about the “not much” part. Your pictures are so soft; they really touched my heart. Beautifully done.

Flower Garden

The sun finally came out today and the few brave crocuses that are showing themselves made me long for flowery gardens and warm breezes. This lovely summer dress from Nikki Heron is just the right choice for such a day—light, flowing and feminine.

Wearing flowers in my hair has always been irresistible, and I’ve probably bought everyone I have ever seen in SL. This one from Eolande goes well with the new skin from Tribal Soul Designs, called Luma. I feel like a flower in my very own garden!
