Accord

1accord

verb ac·cord \ə-ˈkord\

1:  to bring into agreement : reconcile

Pose Fair begins April 11th, and it is always a time when I like to break out and do some different types of photos. Today Bastion helped me with Accord from Alyx Aerallo of Grafica. The balance and elegance of this pose demonstrate the aptness of its name. I also need to give Bastion Flare a shout out; I often call on him right at the last minute for photos like this and when I tell him what the photo theme is he always shows up looking exactly right for the photo. And last night was a marathon photo session in which he showed up with not just one but three separate-yet-awesome looks. He knows how to throw down a look, does our Bastion. I am grateful for his friendship and his generosity.

Looking Behind, Looking Forward

As I was visiting with my friend Mia today, we were talking about how we are not all that unhappy to see 2014 end, and look forward to the possibilities in 2015. So I asked my friend Bastion to help me out in bidding adieu to the year. As Mia and I agreed,  nothing says good riddance like salsa, so I chose one of my favorite Maná songs and a highly appropriate one for ushering out 2014. The whole album is fantastic, but Maná really excels when they arrange traditional songs like this one.

Bastion is sporting the new mesh body from the Mesh Project, and channeling Matt Bomer more than a little. Bastion is also a talented pose maker and made a wonderful one that aligned nicely with this theme, which I also include at the end of our farewell jig. So happy 2015, my friends, and may yours be the best year ever!

Probablemente estoy pidiendo demasiado
Se me olvidaba que ya habíamos terminado
Que nunca volverás, que nunca me quisiste
Se me olvidó otra vez
Que sólo yo te quise

Se me olvidó otra vez, Juan Gabriel, performed by Maná
