As far as nighties go, I am afraid I wear more of the sturdy flannel variety in RL. Especially in January. But even in RL I do dream sometimes of lovely creations such as the Laurel Lace dress from Baiastice at Collabor88 this round. Specifically I dream that I would look good in it.
In my imagination
You are my dear companion
And I’m the one you cling to
And your voice still calls my name
And though you say you do not want me And your dreams are never of me I will dream my dream of you
The lovely, slow fall that we’ve been having is starting to grow some teeth, and sending rain and snow to remind us that this balmy harvest season is about to come to a close. Time to break out the jackets and scarves and boots. Today I have relied on Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice, Jada Tigerpaw of Geek, and Kenadee Cole of Reign to outfit me for the increasingly brisk weather.
Caelan Hancroft’s Bella Notte set is at Fameshed this round and made me think of dusky evenings and fantastical places. Pangloss fit the fantastical place bill today. The first round of My Slink Obsession starts tomorrow, August 5th, and will include a variety of avatar enhancement items for all your Slink body attachments. Get ready to be enhanced!
There is a real dearth of dance shoes in SL. I’ve added that to my wish list for all you brilliant creators. The closest I could come today to real tango shoes was the beautiful Pickford heels by Betty Doyle at this month’s Collabor88. Stewart’s dancing duds were easier to come by, starting with his shiny black shoes from Redgrave.
Also to love from Collabor88 is the wonderful Claudette dress from Baiastice. And now, it’s tango time, my friends!
Amacci needs it’s own blog post for Hair Fair because Carina Larsen has dropped four stunning designs for women at Hair Fair this year. Carina is able to make hair shine like only the best shampoo commercials—or at very least what you would get at a very pricey hair salon! The Amacci booth can be found on the Hair Fair Port sim.
What is more elusive than the perfect updo? Maybe it comes from having hair in RL that refuses absolutely to do anything resembling chic, but I am constantly on the lookout for stylish hair that is both pinned up and realistic-looking. Siddean Munro and Harry Hyx have proven that they are up to the task, and if this heat wave where I live continues I may be wearing them for some time.
I am absolutely in love with Harry Hyx’s hair textures. No smoothing or softening needed, they are perfect as-is.
Siddean Munro brings her classic style and combines it with old-world charm in her new style, Constance.
Oh well you might think I’m crazy To hang around with you Or maybe you think I’m lucky To have somethin’ to do But I think that you’re wild Inside me is some child You might think I’m foolish Or maybe it’s untrue You might think I’m crazy But all I want is you

As we head into the Memorial Day weekend it’s going to be ever-more tempting to shed those winter clothes and head for the water. Damien Fate’s new swimwear line gave Stewart lots of options, but he chose the new Mark trunks. He did try out the new fitted Ian trunks as well but they looked a little, er, too realistic, if you know what I mean!
Hush Darkrose’s newest skin is definitely one to show off in the great outdoors, and Sissy Pessoa’s great denim shorts at the Dressing Room Fusion are great wading wear. I love this great lingerie top from DCNY that is out for Fifty Linden Fridays. I can pretend it’s a bikini top, right?
1. I am a total SL profile stalker. I love to read profiles. I even read my friend’s profiles from time to time to see what updates they have made to them. I love to read what people choose to project as their SL self, and the profiles are so varied…some are inspirational, others comical and some downright frightening. But all are so very entertaining!
2. I am a mesh snob. I know there’s a lot still out there that is not mesh that is of good quality, but I confess to sticking my nose in the air about system pieces, except for layering, for which system pieces are still very useful. My best SL friend keeps telling me mesh is not always better, and he may be right, but my nose is going to stay in the stratosphere until I am tripped and rudely brought to earth. But I don’t think badly of people who cling to system clothes. Okay, yes I do, but I am working on it!!!
3. I don’t take sides in SL disputes. There is a lot of conflict in SL just like in any life, I suppose. I can honestly say that I have never felt 100% sure about any fact or idea in SL. A virtual world is nearly impossible to monitor for truthfulness of any kind, (admit it, it’s even hard to do in RL) so I have to go into it knowing that whatever I see, hear or read is at worst a complete fabrication and at best only one side of the story. Friendship, love, business, family, no matter what anybody says it could be total hogwash. So it’s hard for me to jump on bandwagons and champion causes. As my mama used to say, “you take care of your crap and let others take care of their own crap.” I apply this to all lives.
