Where Do We Go From Here?

Today is my two-year blog anniversary. Thank you to my readers and friends for making blogging fun for the last two years. Thank you to my blogging buddies Stewart and Caroline—your patience and forbearance has been unrivaled. I do not know what direction this blog will take in the future, but I do treasure the experience.

May happiness be found and gorgeous shoes abound, my friends.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Bittersweet

I am not sure I am the best person to showcase the new Saga skin from LAQ. But here it is! I will give one away next week. And since I skipped last week, I will also give away a pair of my awesome espadrilles from Katatonic.

Credits coming tomorrow!

Oh Eliza i think that skin looks very beautiful on you. I am a big LAQ skin fan. So may be i am prejudiced.I am always wearing my LAQ skin, unless i am showing another free skin on my blog.

  2. Rudhmellowen

This casual look seems perfect on you for the autumn!

  3. Ygrey Auer

I’m wearing those espadrilles this week :p Love the skin on you.

  4. Anichka Savira

I love your outfit. That hair, however, is my favorite thing about your look. It’s gorgeous on you!

  5. samayalin

I’m usually not a fan of LAQ skins, but you look absolutely lovely in it 🙂 And I love that hair!

  6. Jennifer Koch

You look great, where is the hair from?

When I asked my sweet friend Caroline to do a Hair Fair shoot with me, I arrived and saw her looking fabulous, as usual. Caroline always looks so perfect that I inevitably have an evil-queen-mirror-mirror moment every time I see her.  Caroline is way too nice for a poisoned apple, but a water balloon?  I confess to a small satisfaction in smacking her with a nice big one.

Hm, that felt good. Maybe another when she’s not expecting it!

Anyway, even splashed with water balloons, she is a great sport and her gorgeous style from Queue Marlowe at Hair Fair still looks great.

Hair Fair 2012: Water

I will probably be doing a couple more Hair Fair posts later this week, but for now I have done enough damage to my monthly Linden budget!!! That being said, here are my top five from the Water sim at Hair Fair. As I have said before, these are only a few of many, many more styles that you will find at Hair Fair. All of these can be found on the Water sim.

Ok, confession time. I have never owned a bikini. Ever. I’ve never been comfortable with barely there clothing. Why wear clothes at all if they’re not meant to clothe you? But mostly it’s not easy to relax when your wondering if your top is going to come untied or if gravity is going to move that itty bitty bikini bottom so that you’re really not covering up anything at all. And I like to relax, be comfortable and not worry about my clothes staying on. Not to mention my desire to not inflict my partially-clad self on the eyes of the world, however much I secretly envy bikini-wearers! However, in SL the swimwear is very tempting indeed, and I don’t have to worry about gravity or other pesky natural laws.

This is such a gorgeous suit and I just hate to cover it or the lovely new Lily skin from Belleza up, but I also just adore this mesh lace top from Chemistry. I love the lace detail and the see-thorough texture. Definitely something to have on hand if you’re worried about swimsuit malfunction—or even if you’re not.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Royal Purple

This color reminded me considerably of the color patriarch, that we did last year. I had to call on my friend Stewart to help me out for that one so of course I had to call on him again. He asked me why didn’t I do Messalina, who was, and I quote, “one hell of a lady”.

So here she is, an empress of Rome who had some pretty serious power in her time, but one who lost her life because of her insecurities. She reminds me a bit of Atia of the Julii from the HBO series Rome, if any of you have seen that. What machinations, what intrigue! What a dreadful need for power and position that led her to get rid of (i.e. assassinate) any rivals for the throne, and eventually lose her own head.

But what a head it must have been! I chose the Artemis skin from Unique to give me a patrician look with deadly purpose.

And congratulations to Raphaela Palmer for winning the Fiona Set from Artistry by E. Watch for your prize coming soon!

Next week I will be giving out two gift cards to Analog Dog, where you will find more hairstyles like this fabulous curly updo by Queue Marlowe.

Gentle Grace

It’s been a great week for new releases and a couple of them have been of the ocular variety. Eyes are hard to make well, especially if you want them to be at all realistic-looking. I look at some of my snapshots from my first days in SL and I look like Cruella Daville much of the time—psycho crazy eyes. In this SL day and age there are a lot more options—some uncannily beautiful. Now Agnes Finney has gotten onto the eye bandwagon and she has recently released some lovely designs, which should come as a surprise to no one who knows Agnes’ work. My friend Isabelle was gracious enough to model them for me.

Isabelle is also the embodiment of grace in this timeless classic from Carisma Creations.

Fifty Linden Friday Farewell

Today began the last Fifty Linden Friday, and boy, am I sad to see this amazing event go. Fifty Linden Fridays not only got me excited when a favorite designer participated, but introduced me to so many new designers and stores that have become favorites in their turn. So thanks to all you designers and mostly to Barb for making it all happen for the last two years. Many of the designers are leaving their items up through the weekend, so check them out while you can, and say a fond farewell. My boots, necklace and clutch today are all from FLF.

I must also express the love for Kungler’s latest dress release. This is called Tiffany and it is available in four different colors. As usual, the colors are strong and appealing and the fit and draping are natural. Keep it coming, girls!
