Well I guess it would be nice
If I could touch your body
I know not everybody
Has got a body like you
But I’ve got to think twice
Before I give my heart away
And I know all the games you play
Because I play them too
George Michael, Faith
In 1987, I was thirteen years old and sitting in eighth-grade home economics class, and while we were practicing recipe-writing this song came on the radio. Every girl in the class was abuzz with talk of George Michael’s backside and his many gyrating talents. Since I have always been a little late to the game I had no idea what they were talking about, but the lone boy in the class (smart boy, I always thought, in a class full of chicks) and I looked at each other and rolled our eyes. It’s been a lot of years since that class, but since those girls I’ve never met a bigger George Michael fan than Sands Leavitt. So of course when he released these great-looking jeans at Uber this month there was only one thing to do–let George grab his guitar and shake it as only George can. Thanks to Stewart for helping me with the photos.
