If there is one thing I love, it’s a good sci-fi world. Apparently there are folks that think along the same lines, because a new event has just begun called Multiverse, and it is full of clothing, gadgets, and accessories to satisfy the sci-fi lover in SL. I am particularly impressed by the Cypher makeup from Soul and The Stringer Mausoleum Digital Eyes and Yakumi hair. Multiverse runs through March 15th. Check it out!
I am a huge fan of pajamas. Mostly I am a fan of the very thick, thoroughly unsexy woolly pajamas that one wears in wintertime, preferably with heavy socks on. And I don’t wear them just for sleeping, either. Happy is the day when I have no evening plans and can change right into them after getting home from work. When I attempt to wear a beautiful sexy nightie like this one in RL, the effect is sadly that of the ballet-dancing hippopotamus in the film Fantasia rather than anything resembling sexy. Eliza can pull it off, though, and Sands Leavitt has made this set to fit Slink Physique, Belleza Isis and Maitreya mesh bodies You can find it at this round of Uber.
Going o’er the hills, through the milk-white snow, Heard I ewes bleat, while the wind did blow.
Nowell, nowell, nowell, nowell sing we clear! Holpen are all folk on Earth, born is God’s Son so dear! Nowell, nowell, nowell, nowell sing we loud! God today hath poor folk raised and cast a-down the proud.
-Masters In This Hall, French Carol (English words by William Morris)
When Luna Jubilee asked what skating poses we wanted her to make, I asked her to make one clutching the wall, because that’s what I do most often at the skating rink. However, she clearly had much more poised poses in mind. My puffy jacket with it’s pocketed sleeves uses the bottom half of one of her lovely gliding skating poses—something I can only dream of. Goji’s Sweet16 legwarmers keep me toasty and will help pad the knees when the inevitable fall occurs.
It’s been a lovely weekend of giving thanks for friends and family and for having enough when there are so many in the world who do not. Now to look forward and remember to be grateful along the way, and not take the good things in life for granted. Thanks as always, to my dear friend Stewart for being willing to put up with the ups and downs of SL fashion to help me with my photos.
November comes And November goes, With the last red berries And the first white snows. With night coming early, And dawn coming late, And ice in the bucket And frost by the gate. The fires burn And the kettles sing, And earth sinks to rest Until next spring.
We are fully into autumn in my neck of the woods and it has been one for the books. Sands Leavitt’s Fallen Jacket at Uber is perfect for chilly afternoon walks under brightly colored trees, like this beautiful one from Alex Bader.
